About Us

GotoCamera is brought to you by Pechora Technologies, a privately held company in Singapore that’s focused on democratizing home monitoring.

For far too long, home monitoring has either been too expensive ($30 a month, long-term commitments, integrator fees, expensive cameras and DVRs, etc) or the domain of the technology guru (folks who understand how to set up FTP, DDNS, NAT, SMTP, etc, and for whom the comparison of the SNRs of different wifi routers is water-cooler talk…). We wanted to build a system ANYONE could use – no technology understanding required and no cost-related worries, using simple equipment like webcams that almost all of us have lying around.

With this thought, GotoCamera was born and went into public alpha around 2007 (the service was then called "HomeCamera"). The system was extensively rewritten in 2009 and this current site represents the continued evolution of the service and what we think it should be about.

If you like GotoCamera, please join us on Facebook and Twitter, and tell us – and the world – about it. If you have suggestions for improvement, you’ll find we’re genuinely interested in your feedback.

Welcome to GotoCamera. We look forward to being of service to you.
